Hello,

I just got this program from the windows mobile marketplace but i got an error and the program justr don't start.

Text(14) was not fount in currentlanguage(NL) not in defaultlanguage(ENG)' and it crashes. Can you help me or get my money back.

Hi,

I am sorry you experience this! We have unfortunately no possibility to give refunds, all sales are done by Microsoft, but they do give refunds, all applications on Marketplace can be returned within 24 hours.

What we CAN do however is to solve your problem by making the application work for you.

The program has has only been tested in english, german, danish, swedish and norwegian devices, and it is obviously something wrong when you try to starting it on your device.

I will look into it now, and send you a version that will work for you (in a couple of hours I assume), that you can install on you phone, and that you can use until we have the fix rolled out for all on Marketplace (since that can take a week+).

Thanks for reporting this error to us, so we are aware of this! Since now we can fix it for everyone else!

I will send you a private message on the forum when I have a new version ready for you.

Hi again,

Have now fixed the issue, which was very serious, since it affects anyone who has a different region on their phone than the application is made for! Like yourself, who probably have bought it from on of the supported regions. But the application should of course run fine on your device even if we do not have dutch texts in the program, you should just get the english texts.

Since this can affect several people, I have not sent you the file "privately", but made it public for all to download.

I have made a "tempfix" and have put the CAB (=installationfile) available for anyone here:

This "temporary-open-to-all" version will stop working 1. June 2010 (will refuse to startup after this date), but by that time the update will be available on Marketplace (I will send in to Microsoft during the day)

Download and use it in the meantime...so you get what you actually paid for! :)

If you never have used a CAB before, let me know here, and I will explain how you can install it.

Great if you also would confirm that it works for you now...I have tested on my phone now, with dutch region, but always good to get a confirmation from the one who actually had the problem too!

Thanks for the solution. I installed the cab and it works well now! The update will be in the marketplace for free at the time i suggest?

Yes, the update will be free.

We actually had an update (version 1.1) "on the way out" right now, which has come to US market, and will probably be in the other markets during the next few days.

So depending on the region you bought Trine's DuplicateFix from, you might receive 2 notifications of upgrade...one for the "1.1" version, and one for the "1.2" version (this is the one that you would want to wait for).


BTW
Version 1.1 was an enhancement, that made the application handle unlimited amount of duplicate appointments (version 1.0 would struggle when there was around 6000+ appointment-duplicates on most devices).


Marketplace upgrades in general:
The way upgrades work, is that you will see them when you sign-in to Marketplace. You will then get a notification that one our your applications has an upgrade. And you can then install it.

For info:
This bug will appear if your device is setup to a region with some other language than the following:
  • English
  • German
  • French
  • Swedish
  • Danish
  • Norwegian
And this is resolved from version 1.2.

Until version 1.2 is available on marketplace you can download the fix above, or set region on you device to for example "US english", run the program, and set the region back. 1.2 is expected to be out on Marketplace by the end of April (is dependent off the approval time).
